More Information About Bigot Lakes

How to book your carp fishing lake with Bigot Lakes. Reserving a fishing week at Bigot Lakes takes minutes. Just select the lake, click ‘Availability & Price’ and choose which year you are interested in. Once you’ve found an available week, just click its ‘Book Now’ tab. Fill in the short request form or call us and your week will be blocked out. Tip – if you can’t find the lake tabs easily on your mobile device, just go back to our Home page and scroll down until you see the direct links to your chosen lake’s availability.

 Choosing your Fishing Dates

Popular dates are often booked up well in advance, so we open the booking calendars early to give everyone a fair chance of reserving a favourite week. If you are interested in fishing outside the dates shown, just contact us we’ll see if we can help.

Terms and Conditions

Paying the Deposit

Once you’ve reserved your week, you’ll need to pay a deposit of 30% within 7 days in order to confirm your booking. We’ll give you all of the details at the time of booking. Just shout if you need help.

Paying the Balance

You’ll need to pay the remaining balance in full 10 weeks before your chosen date. Don’t worry about forgetting, we’ll contact you to remind you about it before it’s due. Also, please bear in mind that the full amount will be due straight away if the date you have selected is less than 10 weeks away.

Not Included

Anything to do with travel is not included. You book your own channel crossing and arrange your own travel insurance and breakdown cover. We’ve provided lots of useful information in the tabs above, including contact details for the ferry companies and Eurotunnel.

Don’t Forget

Finally, don’t forget to make sure that you have read and understood the Booking Terms and Conditions. You’ll find them in the menu bar above and you’ll receive a copy by email when you make a booking.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your confirmed booking less than 10 weeks before the start of your booked week, you will forfeit all monies paid.
If you cancel your confirmed booking more than 10 weeks before the start of your booked week, we reserve the right to retain all monies paid to date. However, if we are able to re-sell the cancelled week at the same price, any money paid by you (less the non-refundable deposit) will be refunded, subject to the re-booked week being fully paid for and completed by the new booking group.

General

All travel arrangements to and from the venue are your responsibility. We do not accept any responsibility for any disruption, howsoever caused, to your travel arrangements.
The number of people included in your group is fixed at the time of booking. No additions to the number in your group can be accepted unless agreed with us in advance before the start of your holiday. We are not liable for any temporary defect, disruption or stoppage in the supply of local public services such as water and electricity supplies, or any loss, damage or injury which is caused as a result of adverse weather conditions or other matters beyond our control.
Bigot Lakes are fishing venues and are not necessarily suitable for young children. Groups bringing children under 16 do so at their own risk and they should be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.

Complaints

The enjoyment of your stay at Bigot Lakes is of the highest importance to us. In the unlikely event that you have a complaint during your stay this should be brought to our attention as soon as possible in order to give us adequate time to rectify the complaint. Complaints will not be considered after the end of trip.

Liability

Under no circumstances will our liability to you exceed the amount that you have paid to us.

Responsibility

The person making the booking confirms that he/she has the authority to do so on behalf of all of the members of the group and that he/she has read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions and has read and agreed to abide by the Lake’s rules.

Jurisdiction

This booking contract is governed by the law of England and Wales, and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of
England and Wales.
